Cinnamon Doughnut Pound Cake

When I first thought about doing something like this I laughed, because it seemed like just crazy, but doing crazy things is what may lead you to great things, in baking world I mean :)
Well it all starts like this, I had some leftover cinnamon doughnuts at home so I decided to have them crushed and see how I could fit them into a new creation
So here they are, little cinnamon doughnuts, about 12, just have them crushed
Place the crushed doughnuts all over the base of a buttered and floured mold, then pour the batter carefully
Bake it for aprox. 40 min at 375F or 190C

1/2 cups unsalted butter softened Preheat oven to 350º.butter and flour a 9 by 5 inch loaf pan.
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 large eggs
1/2 cup plain cream
3 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. evaporated milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups powder sugar
if desired you can use either one:
100 grs. semi-sweet chocolate ganache
or 100 grs. melted semi-sweet chocolate

Arrange the crushed cinnamon doughnuts on the base of the pan.
Mix flour and baking powder and set aside.
Cream butter, add sugar and vanilla and beat for 4 minutes, then add the eggs one at the time, and continue beating, add the cream and then
add the flour mixture until well combined.
Spoon batter on top of crushed doughnuts
Bake for 40 min at 375F or 190C
Let cool on a wire rack, 10 to 15 min
Let cool completely
DECORATIONCombine all the ingredients and cover the cake
if you like you can make little decorations with chocolate ganache or just melted chocolate

E N J O Y!
